VSTHost needs no installation and can be run directly from the exe. Launch vsthost and browse and load the dll using "File->New Plugin". Click on the small square knob icon to show the Magnus Choir interface. Change presets with the blue arrows or browse them sorted by number using the small icon on the right of the blue arrows. Use "plugin->load bank to load a fxb bank. Make sure that "Engine->run" is active.

VSTHost

It's a little program created to host VST Plug-ins capable of:

  • Load VST effects

  • Parameterize / edit them

  • Sound output for VSTi (VST instruments)

  • MIDI-input and -output

  • Load / save .fxb / .fxp files

  • I/O through either Windows MME or ASIO drivers

  • Wave Player / Recorder

  • MIDI Player

While the program started mainly as an aid in understanding and debugging VST plugins, it has evolved into a quite capable program by now which can be really helpful in a keyboard artist's Live setup.

SAVIHost.zip

A very simple but effective one that allows to turn a plugin dll into a standalone executable. Very easy to use and no installation needed. Just put the savihost.exe in the same folder where the plugin dll is located and rename the savihost.exe to the name of the dll ( i.e. for Magnus Choir.dll rename the savihost.exe to Magnus Choir.exe)
