Logic does not support VST plug-ins and cannot read .vst format (VST for Mac) nor .dll format (VST for Windows PC) files.

Logic supports AU plug-ins and reads .component files placed in:

 

~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

 

or in:

 

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
