Daniel Laiseca has
founded Syntheway in 2004 and has been developing
professional virtual musical instruments and audio effects plug-ins for Microsoft Windows and
Apple macOS operating systems, including VST,
VST3 and Audio Units formats as well as
KONTAKT and
EXS24 sample libraries for computer-based music
production environments.
These VST,
VST3 and Audio Units plug-ins, plus the EXS24 and
KONTAKT sample libraries, comprise
38 products distributed in
various formats for different operating systems, with
210 items: 183 for instruments and 27 for audio effects,
of which 170 are software and 40 are sample libraries.
The Musical
Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI)
and digital audio technology helped to drive the rapid
evolution of sound design via synthesis and sampling
methods.
Virtual Studio
Technology by Steinberg and Audio Units by Apple, are
formats that enable to Digital Audio Workstations the
addition of these virtual instruments and effects to
applications for the production of music. They are
playable from a MIDI keyboard or other MIDI controller
via music software host application.
Although he is
extremely passionate about his profession, he also is
contributing in other areas related to Computing and Digital
Media Technology and Business Information Technology.
Daniel is a Software Industry Professionals Member and OISV
Charter Member (Organization of Independent Software Vendors)
and currently he is developing new projects in the field of
Virtual Studio Technology and Audio Units plug-in architecture
based on sound synthesis types such as frequency modulation,
phase distortion, subtractive, additive and sample-based
synthesis.
