Mac: The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found. (Error code -43)

Error code 43 stands for an error that happens when your Mac cannot locate the file in question and thus cannot complete the requested action, e.g. copying it, or moving it to a different folder.

Steps to get rid of error code -43

1) Open Disk Utility to run First Aid on your system (Usually: Macintosh HD).

2) Open the downloaded *.dmg file.

3) Run First Aid on Disk Utility on the mounted optical disk image.

 

4) After First Aid is complete, drag and drop the following files from the mounted disk image to your:

The *.component plugin to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ folder

The *.vst plugin to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/ folder

The *.vst3 plugin to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ folder.

5) Restart your Mac.

6) Open your DAW.

7) Rescan AU, VST or VST3 plug-ins.
